Budding artists bring life to concrete canvas at Telopea Park

Kurt Laurenson bringing children’s artwork to Telopea Park

Did you know that in 2017 the KBRG coordinated a community artwork project to bring to life children’s artwork on the concrete tunnels in Telopea Park’s Nature Park? Children from MOCCA and Telopea Park School had mural artist, Kurt Laurenson, bring their artwork to life on a concrete canvas. It was a great community project that involved MOCCA (Manuka Occassional Childcare Centre), Telopea Park School, Cia Landscape, Stylized Impact and M16. Read more at our Media Release tab.

  1. The artwork project is to be applauded however for residents of nearby apartments the incessant banging on the pipes, mainly on the weekends, is difficult to endure. Yes, one could go out for the day but there are others who are housebound who are seriously affected by this noise. I appreciate that the banging in the open air is preferable to the child banging at home but there’s nothing pleasant about the loud, continuous sound.
